Jaws Lost In Space
One of the best clash of ideas (inspirations) must be the movie Alien. I can imagine how strange, yet great, that sale pitch must have been. A true 'elevator pitch'. "What about Lost In Space meets Jaws?".
The result: even the trailer is one of the best trailers in history.
